Jr Level Groovy and Grails Developer

We already have garnered significant industry attention and provide service to real, paying customers. To continue this growth, we are looking for a 30% Database Administrator 70% Java/Grails developer to help maintain and improve our SaaS application.
Job Responsibilities:
The core responsibility is to work with the Technical Lead, developing code on time and to budget, and to do so in a manner that meets the Product Owner requirements and continues to improve the quality of the project.
? Problem solving of database and code issues
? Demonstrate that the code meets requirements
? Analyze the clients functional requirements
? Document work packages and deployment guidelines
? Estimate, plan, and deliver work under the guidance and support of the Product Owner and Technical Lead
A suitable candidate for the role would have the following Java-related Internet skills:
? 2-4 years of proven development experience working on IT projects of medium complexity. E.g. n-tier, mixed platform, possibly mixed development tools/languages
? 3-4 years proven experience of working in a Java Enterprise/Web environment
? Working knowledge of Groovy & Grails development, Spring framework, Hibernate
? Excellent working knowledge of MySQL & SQL
? Proven experience of common development tools (e.g. Ant, Eclipse/Netbeans/IntelliJ, SVN/GIT, Hudson)
? Good experience with Linux based systems and associated tools (e.g. RedHat, CentOS)
? Familiarity with Design Patterns and good knowledge of perhaps 3-4 patterns such as Singleton, DAO, MVC, Composite
? Familiarity of common development best practices (e.g. TDD, Agile)
Candidates will:
? Work openly with other team members, and communicate effectively
? Pay attention to detail and have a commitment to quality
? Be eager to learn and apply new skills and technologies that the business needs
? Take ownership of their own development and solve problems in a resourceful and professional manner
