JUNIOR JAVA DEVELOPER / WEB DEVELOPER – CENTRAL LONDON (REF:PR-000FKT, Closing Date: 20/03/2011, Salary:£26-28k)
We are looking for a passionate Junior Java Developer to play a key role in the design and development of innovative web applications and next generation meta-search products for one of the UK’s leading travel price comparison websites.
Our client is a well-known media company, who, since launching in 2005 has grown at an average of 40% each year. Continuing their expansion they are now seeking to hire a Junior Java Developer to be responsible for maintaining their existing applications and provide support the commercial team as well as helping deliver exciting new products.
To qualify for this position you must possess a Computer Science degree (2.1 or higher) and have gained some experience (ideally 6 months or more) developing applications using Java and Spring.
You will also need to have exposure of the following:
• Spring/Hibernate.
• SQL (ideally MySQL).
• Servlet- e.g. Tomcat, Jetty.
• Web Development –XHTML/GSP, AJAX, CSS, Javascript.
• Agile methodology.
This role is perfectly suited to someone who is smart and is looking to work in an Agile environment with some highly talented developers who have the freedom to explore new technologies and techniques.
