We are now seeking a Software Engineer to be a key member of our expanding technical team.

Description:

Reporting to Vitrue’s Director of Product Software Engineering, our Software Engineer will have strong OO experience. This person is responsible for developing well-structured and documented code, as well as developing technical and user documentation, analysis and design of software.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-4 years of industry experience in a development environment, with background in software development and working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Understanding of programming concepts, UNIX, web technologies, XML including overall understanding of UNIX environment and tools and UNIX shell programming
• Minimum five (2) years OO software development experience
SQL experience
• Relational database involvement, especially MySQL
• Preferred skills include PHP, Java, Ruby, Perl, Python
• Highly desired is understanding of social networking and social media websites
• Strong analytical and organizational skills: ability to clearly communicate with business users, team members, and management
• Commitment to superior customer service, the ability to prioritize, manage and execute assigned tasks, and the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve routine technical problems
• Ability to be comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced team environment
• Ability to commute by car or rail to downtown Atlanta (parking or MARTA paid by Vitrue)
