full time QA/Web Applications Tester

at High Growth Web Dev Company in Dallas, TX

Interactive web-based technology company in Dallas is looking for an experienced QA Tester to ensure ongoing quality of our existing products and products under development. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, be very detail oriented, and have excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills. Job responsibilities will include web-based testing, review and analysis of test results, QA report design, and direct communication with other team members and departments regarding the applications and services of the company. This is an entry level QA opportunity in a dynamic, rapid growth company.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Test production applications
  • Test new releases
  • Test case and test plan design
  • Automate test cases using tools and/or scripting languages
  • Ensure performance standards meet our client’s SLAs
  • Ensure applications meet current UI/UX standards
  • Keep up to date on UI/UX standards, browsers, their versions and planned enhancements
  • Report results and issues with recommendations to management

Skills/Requirements:

  • Must be able to clearly speak and write English
  • Must have excellent written/verbal skills
  • At least 2 years’ hands-on QA experience with web-based applications
  • Must have experience working in a small company/multi-disciplinary environment
  • Familiarity with multiple web browsers and multiple versions
  • Knowledge of QA standards and procedures
  • Experience testing web-based applications
  • Experience with open-source automation tools a plus
