Interactive Web-based technology company in Dallas is looking for a Senior Web Developer will help to design customer facing web applications. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, be very detail oriented, and have excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills. Job responsibilities will include development and maintenance of web applications utilizing open source technologies. Must be able to work in a high-paced environment and handle development of multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.

Specific responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of web applications to design specifications and coding requirements
• Contribute to application design discussions
• Document all code written in alignment with company standards
• Develop utilities and other tools to automate or improve the development process
• Think creatively to develop solutions and troubleshoot problems

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must be able to clearly speak and write English
• At least 2 years experience with JSP and ability to write highly functional “scriptlet-less” JSP
• At least 2 years experience with Java Servlet programming
• Experience with XHTML compliant web pages
• Demonstrated experience with CSS as a complete UI personalization technology
• Strong OOP skills with an understanding of the different UML diagrams
• Thorough understanding of RESTful processes
• Strong experience using Eclipse to develop Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Helpful Skills and Experience:

• Experience with Apache/Tomcat/MySQL very helpful
• Knowledge or experience with Servlet/JSP 3 Specification
• Understanding or experience with AJAX
