Established in the ‘90s and based in glorious Richmond (just 16 minutes from Central London) our client is a privately funded organisation who is a recognised online leader within the consumer review sector. Having just redeveloped their complete site architecture they are just about to enter a phase of rapid feature development and international expansion. You will be responsible for the technical delivery of this busy roadmap through a team of both full time and contract developers.
Coming from a strong technical background you will be a technical team lead or lead developer with experience managing small development teams. It will be your responsibility to manage the day-to-day aspects of running the team in an Agile/SCRUM process, performing code reviews, providing time estimates to stake holders, motivating other developers on the team and taking a lead role in shaping the architecture of the system.
Expect to play a key role within the business, liaising closely with the management team you will also be instrumental in defining long-term strategies for the business and the way software architecture affects it.
To qualify... You should be a Lead Developer / Software Architect with key skills covering some or all of the following:
•PHP
•Java
•OO / Design Patterns
•MySQL
•Apache
•Tomcat
•Linux
•Symfony or Zend Framework
•Doctrine
•Maven
•Spring
•JUnit
You must also be a:
•Strong man manager
•Great motivator
•Comfortable working in an Agile environment
