As one of the UK’s leading travel comparison websites our client serves over 1m users and boasts a subscriber database of over 1m consumers. Having recently been acquired by Europe’s number one travel comparison business it is an exciting time to join them. With operations across Europe (France, Italy, Germany and Spain) their latest UK acquisition cements them as ambitious global players.
Reporting to the UK CEO and Group CTO in Paris you will take full control for the development and maintenance of their core technology platform in the UK. As a passionate, hands on technologist you will lead a small fun team delivering exciting projects (innovative web applications, next generation meta-search products) whilst ensuring all systems, upgrades and improvements run smoothly with no downtime.
To qualify... You should have a background in Java gained within a Lead Development, Software Architect role or similar with additional experience that covers the following:
• Agile methodologies.
• Managing a team of Developers & Designers.
• A background in building scalable internet applications
• Software Development skills gained within the following environment: JAVA, Spring, Hibernate, MySQL, JavaScript/AJAX, Testing, Linux Admin, Subversion/Version control, Apache/Tomcat, HTML/CSS, Security, Build/Application Deployment (Maven, Scripting).
