DIGITAL DESIGNER / WEB DESIGNER – LONDON (REF:LH-000HNT, Closing Date: 28-08-2011, Salary: Up to £25K)

You will be joining a fast growing company who are passionate about great design and the difference it can make to their customers and the world. Founded in 2004, this dynamic organisation aims to disrupt the $100 billion global print industry by combining the values of professional design with the accessibility and reach of the web.

Working within the online design team you will assist in the creation of visually stunning user centric designs and conduct user research and competitor analysis. Assisting Senior Designers in the production of wireframes, storyboards, flows and other design specifications you will design web pages based on existing templates whilst participating in the creative process for larger projects, from idea generation and sketch work, through to refining final design concepts. Following style guidelines, you will re-touch, prepare and generate graphical assets, images and existing online advertising banners.

To qualify… we are seeking a Junior Designer, Web Designer or UX Designer or similar with a CV that highlights some commercial experience as a Designer in an online environment and a killer portfolio which demonstrates the following:

• visual design flair
• an appreciation of typography, colour, space and layout
• an understanding of usability best-practices
• Proven experience in Photoshop and/or Fireworks
• Experience working with a style guide
• An excellent eye for detail and consistency

Any exposure to: Illustrator, Flash, ActionScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, user-centred design processes and Agile is advantageous.

You will have a passion for great user experience, the ability to convey ideas visually and in writing, enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a proactive, enthusiastic attitude.
