Joining a fast growing, exciting business our client is a Microsoft and EPiServer Partner who work at the forefront of the digital industry. Since 1995 their strategic, creative and technical solutions have assisted leading businesses develop highly effective and engaging online experiences.
Reporting to the Technical Director you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the .NET development team (growing, but currently 6 developers). In more detail, expect to be involved with the following:
• Daily supervision of the technical team including scheduling work and defining work packages.
• Overseeing the delivery of technical work to very high standards within agreed timescales.
• Ensuring team output conforms to code quality standards, system adherence and performance benchmarks.
• Involvement in solution architecture, functional documentation and direct consultancy.
• Working with Project Managers on project progress, issues and timescales.
• Running technical team meetings, team reviews and training plans.
• Reviewing and improving technical systems, standards and processes.
• Providing leadership and motivation to the team.
To qualify... you will be self-confident, well-organised, articulate, and commercially minded with a keen interest in new technologies, methodologies and new approaches to solving problems. As a results-driven Manager or Team Leader with a proven background in web development your CV will demonstrate experience in the following areas:
• Inspiring, motivating and leading Developers.
• Costing, scheduling and technical project management.
• Delivering highly complex .NET solutions (ASP.NET, C# and SQL) on time and on budget.
• Adhering to coding best-practice.
• Reviewing documentation and liaising with clients.
Any exposure to: MVC, LINQ, ORM, SOA, Windows Workflow Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation and CMS solutions (such as EPiServer CMS) is advantageous.
