Job Description
We're looking for a full-time Front-End Development expert to create fantastic code. Specifically, we’re seeking people with advanced HTML/CSS/JavaScript experience and a serious appreciation for user interfaces and user experience in general.
In this position, you'll be taking designs from our amazing team and bringing them to life online. A good deal of problem solving and creativity is needed as you will be introduced to innovative web sites and ideas. We're looking for clean coders, folks who appreciate that consistent code makes for happy browsers. You’ll be working in an open, fun environment with an amazing design and development team. A typical day can include project planning and collaboration, architectural discussions, and team coding.
Technical Skills
• An expert in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of CSS inheritance and how to use it to your advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of Photoshop; able to cutup comps from the design team.
• A good ideology for managing maintainable, scalable and cross-browser code across large sites.
• Familiar with source control principles and comfortable with Subversion.
• In-depth knowledge of IE quirks and how to address them.
• Ensure complete consistency across all major browsers for all design implementations
Bonus Skills
• Social App Development - Experience integrating with social sites or apps (Facebook, etc.)
• Visual Studio 2008/2010
• ASP.NET/C#, VB.NET
• MS SQL Server
• CMS (DotNetNuke)
• E-Commerce (AspDotNetStorefront)
• Web Services
• Ajax, JQuery
Personal Traits
• Ability to work in a team environment, from making pixel perfect sites that meet the design requirements to integrating code with the back-end development team.
• Willing to learn new technologies and advance your skills.
