Founded in 1997 and based in the heart of Edinburgh you will be joining an independent software consultancy that specialise in rapid application development (RAD) for enterprise, commercial, academic and creative environments. With a focus towards mobile platforms (iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Mobile etc.) they have the capability to develop and launch apps in super quick time.

Joining as their Web Developer / Back-End Developer you will work on a variety of different web and marketing projects which will include maintaining the core site presence and developing their online store. You should be a dab hand at building websites in PHP, MySQL, CSS, XML, HTML, CMS’s etc whilst having an excellent appreciation of SQL databases including database design.

To qualify… We are seeking Web Developers, Back End Developers (PHP, MySQL, HTML) or similar with CVs that highlight the following:

• Previous commercial development experience using PHP & MySQL.
• Familiarity with web services, XML etc.
• The ability to hand code (X)HTML & CSS to a very high standard.
• The ability to solve challenges in a vast array of different web technologies.
• An appreciation of web standards.

• Exposure to eCommerce systems is advantageous as would be a Computer Science or related degree.
