CENTERLINE is a digital agency. We provide content marketing strategy, and we create the media to activate that strategy – videos, animations, websites, applications, games and more. We are looking for an experienced Web Developer / Back-End Developer to join our growing team.

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Collaborate seamlessly with Front-End Developers and Designers
• Pro-actively solve development problems that arise on their own projects and by consulting on others’ when needed
• Work quickly, efficiently and professionally on multiple projects at the same time
• Architect and document ideas before (or while) developing
• Program in an OOP style
• Produce reusable code
• Plan for scalability and flexibility within projects
• Understand (or have experience with) QA/QC and unit testing
• Constantly research, learn and suggest new tech or best practices to the Interactive team
• Have excellent written and verbal skills to keep Account Executives, Project Managers, clients, etc. up to date on projects. (In other words, they have to be able to explain tech in a relatable way to non-developers.)

Required skills/experience:

• PHP, MySQL, Javascript, AJAX, CSS3, HTML (HTML5), jQuery, Ruby, Rails, ASP, .NET, PERL
• Apache/UNIX familiarity
• iOS, Android, BlackBerry development
• Database architecture/optimization
• Experience with CMS systems (Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.)
• Experience working with ActionScript (AS3)
• Experience with server administration for both standard hosting and streaming servers
• Ability to interface with web services

The ideal applicant for this position has a Bachelors Degree (or higher) in web or software development — but significant experience or training could also be considered. Experience working in an agency or production setting is necessary.
