Oracle Level 2 Support – Skills Requirement

* At least 5 years experience in Oracle database administration in production environments. * Capable of performing the following Database Administration tasks independently in Oracle 8i and 9i:- * Installation of oracle software Database setup, database upgrades, space management, backup and recovery using either SQL Backtrack or RMAN, database cloning * Diagnose and resolve performance, connectivity, security and database corruption issues in a critical production environment * Setup and maintain High-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions. * Proficient in Unix system administration relevant to Oracle database management. * Experience in supporting multiple and large oracle databases environment. * Capable to provide 24X7 support (Rotational Shift) in a critical production environment. * Strong scripting skills in UNIX shell environment. * Proficient in Standby and DataGuard technology * Excellent level of both spoken and written English * Knowledge in Linux, BMC SQL BackTrack and BMC Patrol are a plus.
