Based out of offices in Fulham, London (District Line) as a successful app publishing company we are expanding. For the past 20 years we have produced software that has sold millions of copies worldwide and we're looking for someone to help us scale even further.
Joining us as Automator-in-Chief you'll be developing your software skills by building tools to aid our developers in producing some of the best apps out there. On a day-to-day basis you'll be involved in implementing tools for asset creation, conversion and packaging, taking a look at our methods and practices and helping us streamline our development process.
To qualify... You will be someone who is:
• Comfortable at the command line - opening a terminal is second nature. You prefer to run 'ls' rather than to look at pretty icons.
• Able to automate tasks, be with a Bash, PHP or Perl script – or even a full blown application.
• Capable of understanding the requirements of other developers and communicating with them about how the tools you create can help them.
• Preferred work attire is not a suit.
You do not need a CS degree, but if you have one that's great. We're more interested in what you're capable of rather than how many formal qualifications you have.
Any of the following would be highly advantageous.
• Video / Audio encoding. Ripped your own CDs? Automated that? Call us.
• Scripting in a POSIX environment (UNIX / Linux / Mac OS)
• Systems administration experience.
• Web development experience.
• You know what Objective-C is, even better if you know how to do anything in it.
