You will be joining a fast growing, independent digital agency that boasts clients such as Channel 4, Monitise, ITV, and Discovery Channel. Joining as their Lead Developer you will manage and oversee the technical delivery of projects that span a variety of platforms and devices including web, mobile and touchscreen.
Reporting to the Technical Director you will act as the bridge between the business and the development team, leading technical projects from conception to completion ensuring that both local and remote teams perform and deliver as expected. Suiting an experienced Senior Web or Applications Developer looking for that step up, this could be the next challenge in your career, managing others to deliver great work whilst at the same time keeping a hands-on interest in technology.
To qualify... We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Lead Developer / Web Developer familiar with:
• Technical scoping and effort estimation.
• Requirements analysis and technical design, including documentation.
• Managing development in a range of languages including Java, JavaScript, .NET, PHP, Flex, HTML5 and Objective C.
• Ensuring quality objectives are met through test driven development and continuous integration.
• Mentoring, managing and guiding a growing team of in-house developers.
• Managing code development and delivery from near-shore development teams.
• Managing both in-house IT infrastructure and external hosting environments on behalf of clients.
• Working closely with clients to identify and present technical solutions to their business challenges.
You should also possess strong communication and team leadership skills, a passion for technology and the natural ability to thrive within a fast-paced, adaptable working environment. Leading by example you should not be afraid to take a hands-on approach when working on development projects.
