Description of Work
The Administrative Office of the Courts seeks a qualified applicant to
work as a senior applications analyst/programmer as part of an
existing applications development team. This position will support the
eCITATION application, which includes components in a variety of
platforms, including browser, enterprise server and fat client. This
position will provide analysis, object oriented design, programming,
testing, integration, documentation and user support.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Visual Basic, Java, and Struts, as well as an in-depth knowledge of
object-oriented methodology, web services and RDBMS is required.
Technical writing, presentation, and MVS COBOL experience is preferred.
Experience with SQL, and knowledge and experience with the NC CJIN
Mobile Data Network, supporting law enforcement/courts systems is also desired, but not required. Highly motivated candidates with the
ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form, strong
attention to detail and organization are encouraged to apply.
Training and Experience Requirements
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or a related
curriculum and three years of progressive experience in programming
and applications analysis; or an equivalent combination of education
and experience. Management prefers eight years of programming and
applications analysis. Degrees must be from appropriately accredited
institutions.
