Looking for a solid php developer for a potentially long term contract (we do have couple positions available with varying terms depending on cost and talent). Start time is within the next couple weeks.

Hiring Points on Ideal candidate.

1. Proficient in both PHP 4 and PHP 5

2. Understanding of OOD and OO.
a. class structures.
b. OOD in php.

3. Patterns familiarity in the PHP context. (ie MVC, Transformation Pattern, Template Patter, etc)

4. Frameworks, Ruby on rails or Zend (im lumping RoR people into this since Zend and mostly all new frameworks have adopted the RoR structure)
a. knows what is a model, controller, view in general.

5. SimpleXml
a. Rest Calls.
b. Parsing Xml

6. JavaScript/Ajax proficiency (1-2yrs)
a. understanding of javascript.
b. knows of jquery or any other ajax tool kit.
