The Role:
Live Nation Entertainment is currently looking for a Front-End Web Developer to join a progressive high-energy team in their West Hollywood headquarters. The ideal candidate will have minimum 2-4 years of experience in web development and production. Individual must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team and with other departments. Must be resourceful and be able to understand the full breadth of workflow and how specific projects affect the company as a whole. Individual must be a creative thinker, detail-oriented, confident and able to express ideas in an articulate, well thought-out manner. Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines is a must.
Essential Functions:
Building, maintaining, and amending HTML/CSS and some basic web graphic work for ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster International websites and numerous client branded websites. Working in a collaborative manner with Product, Creative, and Development departments to maintain and improve the product through a template approach to HTML and CSS design.
Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of pertinent Web design issues including, but not limited to: browser/platform and Mail Client compatibility, HTML/XHTML and CSS
• Strong understanding of Web/W3C standards and guidelines.
• Knowledge of current trends in web design techniques and technology advancements (e.g. Ajax, JavaScript, XML, etc)
• Strong conceptual thinker, with the ability to take printed design mock-ups and visualize how to execute in HTML with an attention to technical requirements and the ability to understand and execute HTML as a 3-dimensional object
• Knowledge of all standard web graphic optimization techniques and file extensions and appropriate use of each
• Minimum 5-7 years experience in hand coding HTML (candidates dependant upon WYSIWYG applications or editors will not be considered) and CSS (both inline and external). Experience with table-less, CSS heavy layout, as well as basic html, is a must.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with other graphic designers, back-end developers and project managers
• Experience with JavaScript
• Familiarity with server side scripting and database concepts (PHP, PERL, MySQL, SQL etc) helpful, but not required.
• Familiarity/Experience with SVN or other version control systems is a plus
• Experience with computer graphics applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Image Ready--specifically as they relate to web production. Note: we are not looking for graphic or flash designers, but skills as such are a plus
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts / requirements to a variety of personalities
• Working knowledge of at least both Mac and PC platforms and operating systems required; proficiency with one or both
Knowledge of HTML 5 a plus
