LEARN NC is working towards the development of online secondary mathematics education courses, support for middle grades mathematics concentration courses, middle grades education pedagogy course development, middle grades and secondary science education course development, and 2+2 integration efforts with the University of North Carolina Online project. The Instructional Design Assistant will assist the Director of Online Learning as needed with online course content development and editing including development of online material, manipulation of images, and revisions and edits to online courses. Candidate mush have strong working knowledge of HTML, experience using Dreamweaver or other HTML Editor, knowledge of issues relating to a/v integration into html pages, including manipulation of images for the web. The person in this position must pay attention to detail, have an ability to work accurately and quickly, and to think through, research and troubleshoot problems as they arise. A high comfort level with learning new software is also desirable. PLEASE NOTE: All IT positions have moved to a new Career Banding compensation program. This position is being recruited for at the Contributing Competency Level under this Career Banding program. The hiring range for this position is $34,435 - $54,036. The salary grade equivalent for this position is 68 . PLEASE NOTE: This is a time-limited position with an initial appointment of one-year. Future years will be dependent on securing additional funding.
