The Senior Command Center Administrator supports the diverse GSI e-commerce platform and internal applications at the network, system, and application layers. The primary focus of this position is support of the Command Center staff in order to maintain the health of the GSI infrastructure and systems. The Senior Command Center Administrator proactively monitors data network events requiring attention, generates tickets and escalates using established procedures.
Responsibilities:
' Provide system support and triage for escalated issues.
' Mentor and train Command Center Administrators
' Work with specialized technology teams on root cause analyses of failures
' Develop expert-level knowledge of the GSI platform and internal applications in support of operations
' Performance monitoring of the GSI webstores at the internet level to maintain compliance with partner SLAs
' Fault monitoring at the network, server, and application layers
' Application recovery and troubleshooting for root cause analysis
' Monitor the health and completion of recurring processes
' Develop and maintain operational documentation
' Monitoring of job scheduling tools (CA Autosys)
' Monitor production changes in accordance with Change Management teams
Experience -
' Basic Linux Systems Administration and knowledge of scripting languages required
' 1+ years experience supporting applications on a Linux/Unix platform required
' CCNA or equivalent network troubleshooting skills
' Familiarity with Apache, BEA Weblogic, MQSeries, i5 Operations, or Java programming preferred
' Ability to effectively communicate with both technical resources and end-users
' Able to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends
' Bachelor's degree preferred, extensive, directly-related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
