Software Engineer
at RJM Technologies, Inc. in Herndon, VA
A fast-growing network solutions company is looking for a software developer to globalize, further develop, and maintain their core business systems. This is a key position reporting directly to the Director of Information Systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with end users to define functional requirements
• Produce functional and technical designs
• Implement major enhancements and maintenance changes
• Test and implement the changes
• Develop / maintain system documentation
• Train end users as required
QUALIFICATIONS
• 4+ years experience with PHP and Perl scripting language
• 4+ years experience with MySQL and PostGres databases
• Knowledgeable in AJAX, Java Script, XML, HTML, and MVC architecture
• Familiarity with Ruby / Ruby on Rails, CGI, SOAP, CSS desired
• Familiarity with SNMP and telecommunications networks is a big plus
EDUCATION
A Bachelor’s in Computer Science with 4+ years of practical software implementation experience is preferred
