Lockerz is a free, invitation-only website created for ’Generation Z’ that promises to be the most dynamic and engaging online gathering place for young adults. Lockerz will officially launch in Fall 2009 as the premier destination for GenZ to go to buy the coolest stuff at the lowest prices, watch exclusive video, discover new music, play the hottest games, hang out with friends - and get rewarded for just about EVERYTHING they do on the site. Members make purchases, enjoy entertainment, get information and engage with each other through their own personalized online ‘lockers’. Essentially we will be thee place to go for these digital natives!
We have a great culture, lead by great people- our CEO, Kathy Savitt, was the SVP of amazon StratComm and Content, and our CTO, Peter Meulbroek, a man amongst men, was the Director of Cloud at Yahoo! We are seeking only the brightest and best engineers at all levels who have a burning desire to work at an early start-up social networking and ecommerce site with a unique (and we think, uniquely successful) engagement model.
On the front end they will develop presentation technology, and help develop and support presentation layer standards and practices for the Lockerz engineering team. Also contributing to testing and deployment approach for presentation layer, build HTML/CSS/Javascript layer of interfaces and help code backend PHP applications and features. Oh! and prototype visually attractive and highly usable web interfaces.
