This is a full time, on-site, salaried position located near Boston, MA paying 80-125k + benefits. No telecommuting allowed. US Citizens, Green Card holders or EAD only please. Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Build and support complex back-end applications in a LAMP development environment: Data Warehousing, OLAP, CRM, reporting, custom admin panels, web services and data exchanges
• Transform high-level business requirements into functional code. Educate top management on pros and cons of various implementation options
• Build and support complex customer-facing web applications in a LAMP development environment with a small team
• Involvement in full development lifecycle; design, coding, test, build, QA, deployment and maintenance
• Take ownership of the company’s code base. Coordinate efforts among developers to maintain and grow the internal code library in an orderly fashion

Technical Requirements:

• 5+ years development experience with advanced Linux, Apache, PHP 5 and MySQL 5 techniques
• Strong SQL skills, including data modeling, architecture, and multiple database synchronization
• Object-oriented architecture, domain-driven design, design patterns, code reuse
• Personal records manipulation: data aggregation, cleansing, transformation, merge and purge, appending
• Object-Relational Mapping (e.g. Doctrine), Symfony or other MVC frameworks
• Experience with Web services, AJA, jQuery, Scriptaculous, Prototype
• Firm grasp of web application security techniques
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent, Master’s preferred
