Systems / Software Developer / Senior Developer (SharePoint, MOSS) is needed to join one of the UKs fastest growing technical consultancies that possess an enviable client list and industry recognition which extends from GC Awards for Innovation to Computing Awards for Excellence.
Joining a fast growing, exciting business our client is a Microsoft Gold Partner who work at the forefront of the IT industry. Reporting to the Lead Developer you will work to develop and deploy SharePoint solutions across the full lifecycle of projects. Acting as a key member within the team you will develop large scale solutions as well as improving the overall technical capabilities within the company.
The Senior Developer (SharePoint, MOSS) is essential to providing both technical expertise to internal teams and demonstrating a hands-on approach to designing, developing and deploying complex SharePoint solutions. This position offers a diverse and varied environment where projects can vary a great deal, both in size and client, across the public and private sectors. In more detail you will:
• Work with solutions designers, consultants and account managers to provide advice on technical development of SharePoint solutions and applications for clients.
• Translate software requirements into precise and robust code which meets the needs of the clients.
• Map business requirements to the MOSS product
• Work within the project team to develop additional functionality and custom software applications.
• Contribute to brainstorming and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Work with Project teams to help bring specs in within agreed deadlines and to meet client expectations.
• Work with the Quality team to ensure testing of applications/systems is undertaken in a timely fashion.
• Build your knowledge base and learn new ways to innovate development by liaising with colleagues, reading technical reports and consulting manuals.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate (2.1 or above in related discipline) with extensive experience in developing bespoke applications built on the Microsoft .NET framework gained within a commercial environment. It is also essential that your CV highlights a strong understanding of the MOSS product and related technologies (to include workflow, forms, dashboard, document management, records management etc.)
