GAMES DEVELOPER / JAVA / C++ / GRADUATE - CAMBRIDGE (REF: RH-0009ZS, Closing Date: 31/12/2009)
Joining a 2008 Sunday Times Top 100 company to work for, we need a Graduate / Java Games Developer to work at the forefront of the online games industry developing and publishing mini games and leading titles interacted by millions worldwide!!
With over 380 employees in the UK and still rapidly expanding, we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Java Games Developer to join a fast paced Game Research Labs (formerly known as FunOrb) Development Team. You will be responsible for working across multiple development projects, building high quality browser-games from concept creation through to final product!
The opportunity will be ideal for a creative Graduate who has shown a passion for gaming by creating games either through their University projects or in their own time. Your key duties will include the following:
• Production of efficient and reliable code for game engines in Java.
• Management of the full gaming lifecycle from game concepts to finished game development.
• Participate in brainstorming session to create excellent game concepts which have the potential to become revenue generating products.
• The creation of high quality well polished games including brilliant playability design!
• Creation and maintenance of internal documentation in line with company design processes.
• Liaison with internal graphics, audio and quality assurance departments.
In return your CV will need to demonstrate prior experience in the creation of games or game-play elements. Building applications in Java it is important that you have previous experience programming in either Java or C++ and posses an all-round knowledge of Software Development Methodologies. The ideal candidate will also possess a degree in Computer Science, Maths or Physics.
