PHP Web Apps Developer

Our client is a digital pioneer who has applications that are downloaded millions of times a month. From casual games to digital music -- they are a respected leader when it comes to accessing digital entertainment.
This is a contract opportunity to work alongside a full time team in San Jose. The focus is on finding an expert PHP/MySQL coder who not only has experience with e-Commerce engines (eg OSCommerce) but also has as a minimum these key areas of expertise:
At least 3 years PHP and MySql with Linux. You Linux experience needs to have been on a large-scale implementation, cake/memcache, etc...
Brings over 2 years UNIX/Posix programming.
Strong Web/e-Commerce application development experience.
Over 2 years of web e-Commerce application development
Additional experience in CSS, HTML, Javascript
We aren't focused on finding enterprise application developers or someone who is not strong with Linux (should know where the log files are located in the file system for example). It's probably not the best fit if you have only worked on PHP as part of "home projects" given the scale of this opportunity.
Our emphasis is on identifying a candidate who has done localization & payment gateway integrations. Because this is a contract situation you should be comfortable adjusting quickly to shifting priorities and multiple deadlines. To be considered a top candidate you will bring superior communication skills (verbal and written), pay attention to details and have rapid prototyping skills.
