FRONT END DEVELOPER – DIGITAL AGENCY – LONDON (REF: RH-000AYX, Closing Date: 28/03/2010, Salary:£30-35k)

We are looking for a bright and ambitious Front End Applications Developer / Front End Developer (HTML/XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, PHP etc) who has a creative passion for technology and thrives when working within a team of like-minded people delivering outstanding work.

You will be joining a fast growing, independent digital agency working with great clients such as Channel 4, TFL, Universal Music, ITV, e-skills UK, Sennheiser and Discovery Channel. Specialising in website design and build, touchscreens and mobile, our client is ISO 9001 accredited and renowned for delivering projects to the highest and tightest standards.

Your primary aim as the Front End Application Developer will be to work with project teams to deliver top quality, compliant user interfaces across a range of platforms and devices. You will be integral in bridging the gap between design and technology to ensure that the end user experience is the best it can be. Expect to be involved in the following:

• Implementation of front ends for applications – websites, touchscreens and mobile.
• Co-ordination and specification of front-end coding standards across the company.
• Ensuring that accessibility, compliance and compatibility standards are met.

As a stickler for detail who can code flawlessly your CV should make very interesting reading and highlight skill in the following:

• Excellent HTML/XHTML, CSS, AJAX and JavaScript skills.
• Ability to produce compliant code from supplied creative designs.
• Hands on technical experience with MySQL database driven websites.
• Experience with PHP frameworks such as Symfony.
• Understanding of user-centred design, accessibility and standards compliance.
• Knowledge of PHP Content Management Systems such as Drupal or Joomla.
• Demonstrable portfolio of work.
• Any exposure to Flash/Flex, Java or .NET is advantageous.

Ultimately this role would suit an experienced Front End Developer that possesses a positive, organised and determined approach and capable of adapting quickly whilst working under pressure to demanding deadlines.
