About BLiNQ Media
BLiNQ Media is a social media advertising company that maximizes advertiser performance across social media websites, primarily Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn, by targeting and optimizing media advertising campaigns based on relevant consumer profile data.

About the position
BLiNQ Media is seeking experienced developers with 5+ years of experience developing web applications and at least 2 years developing with Ruby and Ruby on Rails for a production environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and code of a social media-advertising platform and various related applications and services – including database models, application logic, and presentation logic.
• Enjoy working closely and collaborating across functional business areas on a daily basis to illicit and understand requirements fully from subject matter experts in order to achieve goals and objectives.
• Daily use of lean agile development processes.
• An adherence to Ruby on Rails best practices and idioms.

Essential Experience

• Object-orient programming experience utilizing the MVC architecture pattern.
• Extensive utilization of Ajax for heavy JSON formatted data serialization and transmission of structured data.
• Strict adherence to practicing Test-driven development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) techniques.
• Daily usage of the Git revision control system for source code management.
• Heavy usage of cloud-style environments for Ruby on Rails applications (Engine Yard, Heroku, and Amazon Web Services).

Highly Desirable

• Previous exposure and experience scaling high volume and high performance web applications.
• Knowledge and usage of Haml and Sass for inline page templating.
• Experience utilizing document-oriented database systems such as MongoDB or CouchDB.
• Open to engaging in promiscuous pair programming.
