Java Developer
at DiSYS in Cary, NC
6 month contract position; moving applications from Weblogic to Tomcat; changing website content; re-writing WebLogic portal to Tomcat.
8 years experience of Java (Java 1.5 experience required) and be proficient in all of the following: MVC pattern, JSPs, JSTL, JavaScript.
Experienced Oracle SQL writer for at least six years, must have Oracle experience.
Several years experience with writing Ant scripts.
Experience with Tomcat to set up servers and projects on development, test and production on Unix or Linux boxes. Tomcat 5.5 is very helpful.
Must have experience with developing projects independently from the ground up.
Must be a seasoned developer who can work independently on a project without much guidance and take initiative to see projects to completion.
Full project lifecycle experience is required from planning/design to development and setting up on Tomcat platform, move to test and work with QA, and implement in production and documentation.
Must have strong communication skills and be able to transfer knowledge to team members.
Must be organized, a good listener and able to follow and receive direction.
Must be comfortable to work within company policies, procedures and processes.
Must be at the office by 9:00 am and generally be able and available to be at the office to work a typical 8 hour day and 40 hour week. (no working from home)
Preferred experience:
Grails, GAQ, Groovy, YUI and rich internet applications is very helpful.
