PHP DEVELOPER / WEB DEVELOPER – CONTRACT - DIGITAL AGENCY – HAMPSHIRE (REF: PR-000BFM, Closing Date: 10/05/2010, Salary: £25-35k (DOE) Pro Rata + Benefits)
We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic PHP Developer / Web Developer (OO, PHP, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript etc) to join a Winchester based, award winning digital agency on an initial 3-6 month contract.
Joining as a Contract OO PHP Developer / Web Developer you’ll be working on diverse and interesting digital projects ranging from full ecommerce solutions to simple content managed sites. With an exciting client based that include Harrods, Turner Media, Macmillan and Budvar you will work closely with other talented developers and internal teams on an initial 3-6 month period (then possibly perm thereafter) building the latest, bespoke web solutions with Open Source technologies. In more detail you will:
• Become a member of the in-house development team.
• Write object oriented PHP database driven applications
• Learn new technologies and be able to apply these to projects as applicable.
• Work alongside other developers and designers throughout projects.
• Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure that all technical possibilities are explored and that products achieve the best possible look, feel and functionality.
• Other ad-hoc projects/duties as required and agreed within the wider context of the role.
We need you to hit the ground running, so a strong level of experience in the following is essential:
• Prior commercial web development experience within a deadline/ end user driven environment.
• OO PHP
• MySQL
• Client-side technologies (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Exposure to jQuery, MVC frameworks (i.e. Kohana PHP), server infrastructure, testing, Flash and Actionscript is advantageous.
Ultimately, we are looking for a strong PHP Programmer / PHP Web Developer that possesses a positive, organised and determined approach and capable of adapting quickly whilst working under pressure to demanding deadlines.
