We build, develop and support web-communities for clients that wish to create and grow a large web-community that reaches over the 1,600,000 users mark. We have specialist knowledge and proven experience of meeting the unique demands of heavy-traffic and high-load web-platforms: scalable systems that serve over 170 million page views per month and deliver web-applications to over 14,000 concurrent users.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and innovative, good at “getting things done”, and have experience using social networking/dating websites.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing and implement new features/projects on your own, as well as building on existing features of our different websites.
• From conception through to implementation, you’ll be writing code used by thousands of people every day.

• Working well within the The NetCircle team to help improve our products.

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of object-oriented PHP
• Deep knowledge in SQL
• Sound knowledge in configuring Apache, Linux
• Understanding of how the web works, from low to high levels
• Familiarity with a wide range of relevant technologies and web standards
• Flexibility: we are medium sized company and we move quickly

• Must be able to communicate in English

Pluses:

• Experience with PHP frameworks (e.g. symfony)
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Knowledge in JavaScript, DOM, Ajax

• Skills in HTML and CSS
