User Interface Designer
at Marc Witorsch in Santa Monica, CA
Looking for a talented Web Designer who has a passion for the web and application interface. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker that sweats the details while still understanding the big picture. Must be able to design web experiences that are equally beautiful and usable under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Design concepts and scalable templates for large web properties.
• Work with Product Manager and UI Director to create optimal experiences for our users and advertisers.
• Assist UI developers to match designed mockups and desired UI functionality.
• Design printed promotional pieces and PowerPoint presentations as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with 4-5 years of web design, ideally including experience as a user interface designer for a large scale commercial web site.
• Strong visual aesthetic – good typography and design skills. Focus on the design details as much as the user experience.
• Experience building standards based XHTML/CSS pages. (JavaScript and AJAX experience is a big plus.)
• Extensive knowledge with PhotoShop, Illustrator and other design programs.
• Experience working cross functionally with technology, product, marketing and sales teams.
• Self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity with a strong work ethic.
