Job Description
As a Java Software Engineer, you will work as part of a team responsible for developing the next generation of advertiser and user facing systems for company web application, the premier B2B directory & search engine on the internet. This position involves design, implementation, and maintenance of current and future web based applications.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will work as part of a team to design, develop and implement highly scalable and reliable enterprise n-tier distributed applications using Spring and Java J2EE technologies in Linux and Windows environments. You will work on enhancing our existing advertiser systems and developing systems to support the deployment and growth of a large-scale B2B user-generated content community.
Skills/Qualifications
• Three or more years of experience developing in Java and J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, Tag Libraries) on UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows.
• One or more years of experience with Spring Framework.
• Experience using relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2).
• Experience using Web Servers (Apache) and J2EE Application Servers and specifically experience with JBoss, Tomcat and/or Resin is a plus.
• Experience with XML and Web Services.
• Experience with mission critical, high volume OLTP systems.
• Experience with full development life cycle.
• Experience with Domain Driven Design & Development
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Creativity, Intelligence, High level of professionalism and integrity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with end-users and developers.
• Strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism and integrity.
• Experience with online advertising is a strong plus.
