This Nationwide industry leader has an immediate 12+ month contract opening for a Web Architect in Purchase, NY. Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree and increasing experience in complex development and solutions architect roles utilizing Web 2.0 technologies including digital and social media, along with knowledge of Flash and other graphic tools. Must have experience with website security and standards, communication protocols, browser technologies and design for optimal performance. Must also have experience with Relational Databases and SQL. Must have a combination of experience with Linux and Windows. Will be expected to provide outstanding customer and technical project support for Global Communications applications and websites. In support of the business, this role will be primarily responsible for leading and driving technical direction, strategy, alignment and decisions through close coordination with senior level business partners, key technical vendors, subject matter experts and internal backline support organizations including enterprise architects. Support in this dynamic and fast paced environment will include opportunities ranging from critical break/fix resolution through long term strategic technical decisions for enterprise wide initiatives. Will translate business needs into technical requirements including architecture and design specifications. Will manage multiple, competing priorities/projects across several different internal/external groups.

Required Experience

8+ years experience in increasingly complex development and solutions architect roles
In-depth knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies including digital and social media
In-depth knowledge of website security and security standards, communication protocols, browser technologies and design for optimal performance
In-depth understanding of relational databases and SQL
Combination of Linux and Windows experience
Knowledge of Flash and other graphic tools
Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology)
