Established in 1995 and based in California's Silicon Valley with European headquarters in Edinburgh our client develops secure email server software for carriers, telecoms, service providers, enterprises and businesses worldwide. With more than 2,000 customers hosting more than 15 million mailboxes worldwide our client’s partners include HP, J2 Global Communications, Enigma Health, Rockwell Collins, Mailshell and Fidelity.
The Senior C#.NET / C++ Software Engineer will share responsibility for the development and support of the AJAX web client and C# ASP.Net web services as well as the C/C++ email server software. There are also opportunities for client development on J2ME, BlackBerry, Android, iPhone and iPad platforms within the role as well as project management.
To be considered you will need to have substantial commercial experience of C#.Net, JavaScript and AJAX on windows platforms coupled with several years experience of multi-threaded, high availability, programming in C & C++. You should also be degree educated and have strong communication skills with the ability to demonstrate strong initiative and ownership.
Experience with the following is also desirable:
• Visual Studio 2010 & SourceVault.
• UI design and development.
• Networking and Email protocols.
• SQL Server.
• Windows Server Administration.
• Installshield/Installer implementation.
• Mentoring junior engineers.
• Java EE and/or ME.
