This is a 90 day contract to hire, with great benefits, no lay-offs/turnover during recession....

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Write new code and implement new features from business
• Test new code
• Experience with automated testing and test-driven development a plus
• Debug and create patches for reported problems
• Document new code and changes to existing code


QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years experience developing Java web applications
• Solid understanding of OOP and MVC design principles
• Experience with Agile / SCRUM project management a plus
• Experience with the following technologies:
• Java 1.6, Servlet spec, JSP, JSTL
• Grails 1.3+
• Hibernate 3.3+
• jQuery 1.4+
• XML, XHTML
• JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, web standards
• Oracle, JDBC
• Source Control: SVN and Git
• Eclipse IDE, debugger
• Apache 2.2, Jetty 6.0 (or other servlet container, e.g. Tomcat)
• Experience with Hibernate and UML modeling a plus
• Experience with Python a plus
