A PHP Developer / Web Developer with a strong proficiency in Drupal is needed to join an independent digital creative agency in Soho, London. Our client is a rapidly expanding young agency, just about to turn 4 years old; they are heading off to Madrid to celebrate in style! Expect career progression by the bucket load, a bonus scheme, and a competitive salary.
With a wide range of client from all sectors including FMCG, fashion, financial and construction, this boutique digital agency is proud of their work and proud of the team that makes it happen. They are now looking for a web developer that have perhaps been stifled by that larger agency experience and is looking to jump into an agile boutique agency in a great location that promises complete development freedom.
Joining the existing 4 strong development team, you’ll have the opportunity to be the techie “go-to guy” on certain projects. Taking them from birthing meetings, through wire-framing and technical specifications then onto design and build, and beyond, (on-time and on budget!). In more detail this will include:
• Open Source CMS Development utilising Drupal.
• Backend web development; creating dynamic content that interacts with MySQL databases using via PHP to sit with either your, or your team members’ front-end development.
• Front-end web development; client project builds using JavaScript, AJAX, XHTML, CSS and related technologies.
To qualify, your CV must highlight proficiency in the above technologies (Drupal, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS etc) whilst demonstrating strong commercial experience in a development role. The ideal candidate will also be educated to degree level and have gained solid experience within a digital agency for at least 3 years.
A genuine passion for all things web related is important!
In a fast, clean and efficient manner, you'll be strongly proficient in:
• PHP5 (OOP experience in PHP).
• MySQL database design + creation.
• Drupal / Wordpress module creation and Theming.
• JQuery JavaScript framework.
• Cross-browser XHTML and CSS template creation.
• Unix command line and server administration.
• W3C & WAI standards.
• Information architecture.
• Search Engine Optimisation.
• XML parsing using PHP and jQuery.
• Experience in third party APIs and web services.
