Occupying the role of Analyst Programmer (Java/J2EE) you will bridge the gap between business analysis, conceptual problem solving and software engineering. Working specifically on their flagship digital media management platform and its associated APIs you will work closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers undertaking analysis, design and development of integrated software solutions. In more detail you will:

• Liaise with Business Analysts to develop clearly defined technical specifications.
• Provide Project Manager with estimates and progress of tasks.
• Develop custom software and third party systems.
• Generate test plans and de-bug complex programs.
• Manage and liaise with customers where required.
• Prepare and maintain technical and system documentation.

To qualify… We are seeking strong Java Analyst Programmers / Java Software Engineers / Java Software Developers or similar with good experience in the following:

• Proven experience developing core Java and J2EE (you will be thoroughly tested).
• A strong understanding of enterprise computing paradigms (messaging, clustering, RMI).
• API integration experience using webservices, SOAP, JDBC, JMS and others.
• Proven experience with systems integration concepts (interoperability, data interchange, security).
• Exposure to video technologies.
• Web services, SOAP, XML.
• Databases design and SQL.
• Data modeling and migration.
• OO / UML at conceptual and technical levels.
• Unit test and test harness development.
• Proven business and technical analysis skills.
• Excellent written English and strong documentation skills.
• Brilliant client facing skills – presentable, good communicator and born listener.
