The Manager of eCommerce/Front-End Web Technology is responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of ecommerce and internet-communication initiatives. The successful candidate will be able to develop visual and technical solutions for any online requirement including the ecommerce shopping site, corporate website, corporate intranet, virtual catalogs, email deployment systems, and various externally hosted websites. In addition, the individual will provide online subject matter expertise and consulting services to the following departments: corporate communications, human resources, and public relations. Autonomous management of small or medium-sized projects will be required.

The position requires excellent communication skills, quantitative and qualitative analytic rigor, and a creative approach for identifying solutions to a wide-range of online challenges. The Manager of Web Development must have the ability to manage multiple projects, lead cross-functional teams, and multiple vendors. The Manager of eCommerce/Front-End Web Technology will directly supervise two Senior Web Developers. The individual will also supervise temporary employees or consultants as required. Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain corporate website pages on Coldfusion servers.
• You will be a business advocate and help shepherd business partners through the Web Tech Team’s organization, policies, and procedures
• Combine knowledge of what the business wants with knowledge of how eCommerce/Web Technology is developed and used to create functional designs across applications
• You will be responsible to identify, assess, and support the Business in documenting requirements, recommending business priorities, and advising business on options, risks, and costs
• Analyze Business Requirements to understand the business needs and determine how the eCommerce Technology Applications can best functionally to fulfil those needs
• Prepare the print circular pages for online viewing on ShopLocal.
• Distribute virtual circular to widgets, gadgets, and RSS using API feeds.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge on XHTML/CSS/Javascript
• Code Emails in HTML for deployment via the E*Dialog system.
• Prepare creative panels for deployment on the ecommerce website using content management system (CMS) tools.
• Prepare promotional coupons for display on either the corporate or ecommerce websites.
• Review RFPs and provide recommendations for the Toysrus.com Mobile site.
• Manage the relationship and work-flow between internal Corporate Creative Team and interactive Web Development Team.
• Provide recommendations to the Web Experience Team to improve Search Engine Optimization.
• Complete the following requirements with the assistance of the Web Experience Team: a) Rich Media Design & Development, b) Interactive Design & Usability, c) Automation for Website Applications and Email Trigger Campaigns, and d) Standardization and Optimization for the Brand and Category Page creative elements.
• Develop a collaborative working environment with direct-reports, peers, and supervisory staff.
Qualifications:

• BA/BS/BFA required. MS in Computer Science or MFA in Graphic Arts preferred.
• 7-10 years eCommerce/Front-End Web Technology experience required.
• Hand-on experience of coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript and programming experience preferably in a variety of languages (Coldfusion/Java/ASP/XML/CMS)
• Experience of coding Action Script for Flash.
• Experience of graphical editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• 3-5 years experience managing Web Developers is required.
• Experience managing both Graphic Artists and/or external Creative Agencies is preferred.
• Experience working with Interactive/Online Marketing team in the Retail or Financial Services industry is preferred
• Working knowledge of the following online analytical tools: Omniture, Net Acumen, Webtrends, DART, etc.
• Should have passion to update knowledge about Marketing and Internet treads.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Requires the ability to multitask, be detail oriented, and solve problems analytically
• Good understanding of Search Engine Optimization.
